2. As an HR professional, discuss how you would deal with an employee who has grown up in a different culture and expects to work only about 30 hours a week. At the time of hire two months ago, he was fully informed that he would be working over 8 hours a day, (and would be paid time-and-a-half for overtime). He also was told some Saturday and/or Sunday overtime would often be required. He is otherwise a very hard worker.

3. Discuss the pros and cons of outsourcing overseas. If you were an HR manager, would you recommend outsourcing to your CEO? Justify your response.

4. As an HR professional, what strategies would you use to attract global talent? What kind of an orientation is necessary when hiring an individual from a different country with different norms and values? Lastly, how would you deal with an employee who is ethnocentric?
