Part 2:
Visit the website http://4president.org/ . Once you access the site, click on the “Campaign Websites” link across the tab. You will see there are examples of presidential campaign websites starting with the 1996 elections.
- Select at least two (2) websites from two (2) different election years and compare and contrast the use of media and other digital tools.
- Also evaluate the design and overall effectiveness of the websites you select, especially when compared to contemporary websites.
- What media or communication theories from the first few weeks of our class might relate to, explain, or contradict how and what is communicated on the website(s) you evaluated?
At the least, you will evaluate two (2) websites, but they must come from different election years. For example, you may decide to explore President Clinton’s website from the 1996 election and President Obama’s website from the 2008 election.
