Financial Perspective Wal-Mart

Financial Perspective Wal-Mart

I need a response to this discussion post:

The company that I chose to research on for this discussion week is Wal-Mart, the financial perspective is second nature to them. Customers perspective would be their number one perspective. This was Mr. Sam Walton vision from the very first day. If I had to put Wal-Mart perspective in order I would say that customer perspective, financial perspective and business perspective.

The down fall for this company is the raises or the lack there of. Giving all their new employees a jump in raise was outstanding, but in the same stroke they cut hours really drastically in order to equalize or offset the big raises. This step really damage a lot of the warm fuzzy feeling that use to be there from their older employees. Wal-Mart has been considered one of the most hated companies in America and money issues did not help change to many minds.

DISCUSSION CRITERIA

“The material in this module tells us that many companies place disproportionate emphasis on the financial perspective at the expense of the other three perspectives. Give an example of an organization which you are familiar from either previous coursework, the news, or personal experience where this has been the case. What were the results of this focus on the financial perspective on customers and other stakeholders? Be as specific as you can and give concrete examples.  [This TD is designed for you to respond to the above question/topic during the first week of the module. During the second week of the module please read through responses by peers and post a second response addressing one or more of the shared ideas. Please bring in new ideas/comments and research that haven’t been mentioned yet. An “A” grade needs at least two strong entries with at least one of them supported by research, with the source cited.”
