CT 3 management Option 1: Cuba, writing homework help

Choose one of the following two assignments to complete this week. Do not do both assignments. Identify your assignment choice in the title of your submission.

Option 1: Cuba

Identify a primary industry in Cuba. Assess how the United States’ normalizing trade with Cuba will affect that industry in Cuba and how normalization will affect that industry in the United States. Determine if that industry in Cuba or the United States has the bigger opportunity for international expansion. Identify any special concerns the Cuban companies would need to be aware of with regard to expanding in the United States. Assume the role of a senator and write a speech to be delivered on the floor of the Senate either for or against normalizing relations with Cuba based on your analysis.

Your written speech should adhere to the following standards:

  • Be three to five pages in length, not including the title or references pages.
  • Include at least three academic references, including one peer-reviewed article, preferably from the CSU-Global Library.
  • Review the grading rubric in the Module 3 folder.
  • Be sure to format your paper according to the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA Requirements.
  • Include an introduction, a body with at least two fully developed paragraphs, and a conclusion.

Option 2: Reminbi Peg

Read Reminbi Peg and Its Impact on World Trade in Chapter 3 of the textbook. Identify some of the costs and benefits to China and to the United States of an artificially low value of the RMB. Review the history of the RMB and the value of the dollar since the case study was written and determine whether any of the predictions from the case study came to pass. If you think no predictions have occurred, why do you think they have not? Argue what the current state of the Chinese and U.S. economies suggest will happen to the relative values of the respective currencies of those countries.
