Asume that you are a state level homeland security

Assume that you are a state level homeland security official charged with providing an information paper for newly elected state representatives to acquaint them with intergovernmental actions affecting homeland security.  Depict the actions of local, state, and federal levels of government concerning their response to and recovery from a specific disaster. Use specific examples, including real world events, to support your ideas. In your paper’s analysis, be sure to address the following issues:

  • Support relationships across levels of government.
  • Identify incident lead role.
  • Determine legal responsibilities and restrictions.
  • Compare and contrast the roles of the various levels of government.

Support your information paper with at least five scholarly or professional resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.

Length: 5-7 pages, not including title and reference pages

Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.
