1. Interview someone who has been working in the field you anticipate entering and discuss with them the transformation of managerial roles as discussed in this section.  What transformation have they seen during their career?  How do they see things changing in the future?  Do they see this as good or bad?  Why?

2. What experiences have you had with planning in your career and/or your personal life?  How effective do you feel you are in this area?  Why?  What do you need to improve upon?

3. Interview someone who has been working in the field you anticipate entering and discuss with them the organizational structure of their current work environment?  Do they feel it is effective?  Why or why not?  Explain to them the different types of organizational structures that you learned about in this section.  Based on that information, would they recommend a change in organizational structure at their current environment?  If so, what would it be?  What other organizational structures have they experienced? Were they effective?  Why or why not?

4. Interview someone who has been working in the field you anticipate entering and ask them what has been the hardest situation for them to control? How did they handle it?  What were the results?

5. Discuss situations in which you have been a leader. What type of leadership style did you employ in each of those situations?  How effective were you in leading those situations?  What would you do differently if you could do them again?  If possible, speak with someone who has ‘followed’ you and discuss with them what type of leader they feel you were.  Does that agree with the type of leadership style you felt you were using?  Why or why not?
