The second week of the class focuses on the field of Organizational Communication.  We look at both Traditional and Interpretive approaches in this area of research, as well as overarching qualities of the organization known as Culture and Climate.  For the discussion, read the assigned material and listen to the lecture, then please start your exam with a claim about something you had a strong reaction in the process of listening to the lecture.  One hopes that something has hit you, something that most likely arises from your own experiences.  With any luck, you found something you vehemently disagree with or something that you just think needs to get out there.  It may not actually be something in the lecture as much as where you jumped to as a result.   What is that truth?   What do you want to teach us?

As we did last time, start your essay with a clear, concise, claim, then explain and defend this claim.  Be sure to cite each if the readings, plus the course notes, and an outside source.  Use the references to make or clarify your case.  Make sure the essay, proper is between 350 and 500 words.
