150 words agree or disagreeIn today’s technology and the threat of terrorist there are shifting towards cyber-attacks and it’s not just the extremist Islamist groups there are other countries like china,  Russia, North Korea, and Iran who are wanting to attack the Western Countries infrastructure and try to cripple them from the inside. In the summer of 2018 there was counter-terrorism Unit that conducted a study of Islamist groups and this was the outcome or findings is, “the study warns “the possibility of a terrorist organizations acquiring offensive capabilities on the internet, hiring hackers for this purpose, or receiving assistance from terror-sponsoring countries,” and notes evidence that supporters of the Islamic State have “a desire to develop these offensive capabilities.(Berman, I. (2019, February 25).” So, the Terrorist are wanting to hack or hire people to hack the internet in the chances of hacking our power, water, and transportation grids. If they were able to hack into anyone of these systems then it would cause a whole lot of chaos and confusion especially if the terrorist groups hacked the transportation department they could cause so much damage and a lot of people would get hurt or killed. So how might they use this in the future. Well in the future and with the increasing technology and use of drone technology, “experts warn, terrorist could also adapt to exploit the growth of artificial intelligence(AI), using it to improve the operations of unmanned systems and more effectively discriminate targets via social media mapping. AI could also improve the efficacy of terrorist financing through automation. (Berman, I. (2019, February 25).” With all of that and even with drone technology terrorist could get face recognition software and they could be flying it anywhere in the world and be able to locate anyone who is important or in high power to be able to tell people on the ground where the location of someone is. Same goes for social media it’s so easy for young people to someone who isn’t very good with technology to get their accounts hacked and their identity stole form a terrorist and that with give them the edge they need for either entering the country or stealing money so to me technology is extremely back when it comes to terrorist.Work Cited:Berman, I.
